Days
Youll be responsible for checking products, identifying defects, and ensuring all items meet strict quality standards before leaving the production line. This role suits someone with strong attention to detail and confidence using measurement tools.
Key Responsibilities
Product inspection
Carry out visual and dimensional checks on finished and in-process items. Goods Inwards Inspection
Carry out visual and dimensional checks on purchased products to internal / external standards. Hardness Testing of Heat Treated components Measurement tools
Use verniers, micrometres, gauges and templates to verify accuracy. CMM experience advantageous Defect reporting
Record non-conformances and communicate issues to supervisors. Shopfloor inspections
Ensuring quality of products is up to expectations as well as ensuring all equipment is being used correctly and accurately. Quality documentation
Complete inspection sheets, reports and traceability records. Process compliance
Follow all quality procedures and maintain high standards. Team collaboration
Work closely with production teams to resolve issues quickly. Skills & Experience Previous experience in quality inspection or a manufacturing environment. Ability to read technical drawings (advantageous). Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Confident using measurement tools. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Reliable, punctual and able to work independently. Confident to converse with customer / supplier in the absence of the Quality Manager in quality related issues. Hours & Pay Days
standard daytime working hours. £13.50£14 per hour , depending on experience. Progression
