Quality Laboratory Assistant

Sofidel S.p.A. THE ROLE Sofidel UK are currently looking for a Quality Assistant to join us at our Plant in Rothley. This role plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products remains at the highest standards. Reporting to the Quality Manager this role plays a vital part in guaranteeing the availability of trustworthy data through the correct development of quality control lab activities. In this entry-level position, you will perform routine quality testing of products and provide analytical data based on your findings. Working in conjunction with the production department the successful candidate will gain unrivalled knowledge of each product Sofidel manufactures and you will be a crucial part of the quality assurance of our world renowned products. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare and carry out lab tests (raw materials and finished product) in accordance with the operational procedures  Maintain the laboratory inventory ensuring the cleanliness of the tools  Streamline the laboratory processes and maintaining lab cleanliness. Analyse competitors’ products according to defined methods  Perform and maintain all laboratory equipment verifications and calibrations  Promote a safety-bound corporate culture Apply the Corporate Principles and Values ADDITIONAL SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS Keen eye for detail  Excellent communication- verbal and written Good team player  Analytically and process driven to achieve the best  Passionate about paper
