A well established food manufacturing business in the County Down area is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join its Technical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional to take ownership of food safety, quality, legality and authenticity across a busy manufacturing operation. Your new role
As Quality Manager, you will lead the site's quality compliance agenda, ensuring robust systems and procedures are in place to maintain food safety, quality and legal compliance standards. Reporting to the Head of Technical, you will manage the Quality team and play a key role in maintaining audit readiness, supporting HACCP reviews, managing customer specifications, overseeing supplier compliance and driving continuous improvement initiatives.You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Quality Management System, leading internal audits, supporting BRCGS and customer audits, investigating non-conformances, implementing corrective actions and ensuring effective monitoring of food safety and quality systems. The role will also involve working closely with operational teams to strengthen food safety culture, develop team capability and deliver meaningful quality improvements across the site.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum 3 years' management experience within a Technical or Quality role in food manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of BRCGS standards, food safety legislation and Quality Management Systems
  • Experience in HACCP, TACCP, VACCP and technical auditing programmes
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Experience managing customer requirements, specifications and supplier compliance activities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer web-based systems
