Key Quality Manager Responsibilities: Lead the site's quality assurance and food safety standards, ensuring compliance with BRCGS, customer requirements, and legislation. Work closely with Production, Hygiene, Engineering, and H&S teams to maintain high standards across the site. Manage the internal audit programme and ensure non-conformances are investigated and closed out effectively. Support BRCGS and customer audits, acting as the technical lead during site visits. Maintain robust HACCP, VACCP, and TACCP systems and support traceability requirements. Provide technical input into new product development and site projects. Deliver technical training and briefings across the business. Work collaboratively with wider Technical teams and deputise for the Technical Manager when required. Support the Hygiene Manager during periods of absence. Help drive a strong culture of food safety, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Quality Manager Requirements: Essential: 3+ years' experience in a QA or Technical role at supervisory level or above. Food Safety & HACCP Level 3 or above. Lead Auditor experience or qualification. Previous experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, or a similar environment. Experience with auditing, non-conformances, and corrective actions. Knowledge of product and environmental microbiological testing. Strong IT skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent communication, organisation, and influencing skills. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities. Desired: Food-related Bachelor's or Master's degree. HACCP Level 4. Lead Auditor certification. Understanding of retailer codes of practice.
