Quantity Surveyor

Our client, an established leader in the highways sector, is currently seeking a Highway Quantity Surveyor (QS) on a contract basis to join their team. This office-based role requires a dedicated professional to manage the commercial aspects of highways projects from inception through to final account. Key Responsibilities: Managing project costs and budgets throughout the project lifecycle Administering and managing NEC contracts Preparing, reviewing and negotiating subcontractor packages Producing valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts Identifying, pricing, and managing compensation events and variations Monitoring project performance and reporting on commercial progress Working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure successful project delivery Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams Job Requirements: To be considered for this Highways Quantity Surveyor position, you will have: Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the highways sector Strong working knowledge and practical experience of NEC contracts (essential) Experience managing the commercial aspects of civil engineering or highways projects Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities A full UK driving licence If you possess the necessary skills and experience for this role and are looking for an exciting new opportunity, we would love to hear from you.
