Quantity Surveyor Chesterfield Opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a division within a chartered consultancy in Chesterfield that operates as a main contractors commercial team.

The division provides full Quantity Surveying services to major contractors across the UK.

The work focuses on government refurbishment and building fabric projects, including MOJ, MOD, government offices, defence estates, and wider public-sector buildings.

Typical project values range from 500000 to 5m, with some schemes reaching 20m.

The division is part of a financially secure consultancy with long-term client relationships.

The Chesterfield office has around 50 staff, including 40 Quantity Surveyors, creating a professional, contractor-focused commercial environment with strong support and progression.

The position is based in Chesterfield with regular site visits.

Working within a large and experienced commercial team, the Quantity Surveyor will support contractor clients on live projects.

Responsibilities include cost management, valuations, variations, reporting, procurement support and general commercial duties.

The role offers a varied workload, hybrid working and strong long term progression.

Security clearance may be required for some projects and will be arranged during onboarding.
