Quantity Surveyor - Retail Fit Out & Refurbishment - Fit Out UK Location: Farringdon, Central London Salary: Competitive + Benefits (Negotiable) Fit Out UK is a leading interior fit-out contractor specialising in Retail, Leisure, Commercial and Residential sectors. We excel in delivering high-profile supermarket, bank, shop fit-out and retail space projects across London and the South East. Due to continued growth, we are now looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our expanding commercial team. The Role We are seeking commercially astute Quantity Surveyors of all levels (Assistant / Intermediate / Senior) with experience in retail refurbishments and / or commercial construction. You will manage the full commercial function on high-profile supermarket, banking, shop fit-out and retail space projects. This role is based at our Farringdon office in Central London, with hybrid working available. You will report directly to the Managing Surveyor. Key Responsibilities * Manage full commercial aspects of retail refurbishment and shop fit-out projects * Administer JCT Contracts and manage Collateral Warranties * Oversee Construction Management Contracts * Procure and manage trade packages / subcontractors * Prepare monthly valuations, applications for payment and manage variations * Produce Final Accounts and cost reports * Conduct cash flow forecasting and financial forecasting * Provide weekly commercial reports and updates to senior management * Attend design, progress and commercial meetings * Support new-build commercial construction projects where required Requirements * Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within retail fit-out, shop fit-outs, supermarket or commercial refurbishment projects * Strong knowledge of JCT Contracts and Collateral Warranties (essential) * Experience in retail, supermarket, banking or warehouse construction is highly desirable * Solid understanding of procurement, valuations, variations and Final Accounts * Excellent commercial acumen and financial management skills * Strong communication skills and ability to work proactively within a team * Based in London (Farringdon office) or willing to commute to Central London What We Offer * Competitive salary (highly negotiable for the right candidate) * Immediate start available * Excellent benefits package * Opportunity to work on high-profile supermarket, bank and retail projects * Supportive and growing team environment How to Apply If you are a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor who ticks most of the boxes above - we’d love to hear from you.
