Groundworks Quantity Surveyor Location: Pontefract, West Yorkshire Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum Job Type: Permanent Avish Civil Engineering & Groundworks are seeking an experienced Groundworks Quantity Surveyor to join our growing commercial team. Working closely with the Commercial Manager, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of groundworks and civil engineering projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career within a growing groundworks business. Key Responsibilities Prepare and agree interim valuations, including supporting documentation and final account forecasting. Undertake full measurement of project elements including reduced dig, foundations, drainage, floor slabs, services and externals. Monitor project costs, forecast financial performance and report to senior management. Price, manage and agree variations, ensuring all instructions are properly recorded. Carry out regular site visits to ensure works are accurately captured for valuation. Review site records, delivery tickets, daily diaries and material records. Measure completed works from drawings, site records and on-site activities. Place subcontract orders for labour and specialist trades where required. Maintain accurate and detailed commercial files.
