Quantity Surveyor | Community Scheme | North London | Permanent or Freelance (Inc Ltd company)   I’m working directly with a contractor who are looking to appoint a QS for a £5m new build synagogue scheme in North West London.   This is a hands-on role within a smaller business delivering projects under a construction management procurement route, acting as Principal Contractor with their own site team managing package procurement and delivery on behalf of the client.   The Role • Commercial management of a £5m new build synagogue • Managing subcontract procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts • Working closely with site management and client teams • Supporting project delivery from live construction through completion • Opportunity to operate independently with genuine ownership of the job   What they’re looking for • Quantity Surveyor with strong main contractor and/or developer-contractor background • Ideally 5+ years’ experience • Someone practical, hands-on and commercially reliable • Comfortable running smaller projects independently • More suited to someone from a leaner contractor environment rather than heavily layered Tier 1 structures   The Business • Design-led contractor delivering residential and mixed-use projects • Acting as Principal Contractor on this scheme under a construction management arrangement • Flexible on freelance or permanent • Salary guide around c£80k with flexibility for the right person • Able to wait for notice periods or move quickly for the right hire   Good opportunity for someone who enjoys autonomy, close project involvement and operating within a smaller, delivery-focused contractor.   Michael Ogunyankin | (phone number removed) | michael @ borneltd . com
