Quantity Surveyor Carpentry & Joinery Location: Woking, Surrey Type: Full-time | Hybrid Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Join a Growing Specialist Contractor Our client is a fast-growing carpentry and joinery contractor working on high-quality new build residential schemes, and they are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven QS who wants real responsibility, exposure to the full commercial lifecycle of projects, and the chance to grow alongside an ambitious business. The Role As a Quantity Surveyor, youll play a key role in supporting the senior commercial team and managing the financial and contractual aspects of carpentry and joinery packages from tender through to final account. Youll be involved in multiple stages of each project, gaining hands-on experience and making a genuine impact on project success. Key Responsibilities Be an integral part of a close-knit and supportive commercial team Assist in managing variations, applications, and final accounts Prepare cost plans, budgets, and detailed quotations (including labour, materials, prelims, and programmes) Support the tendering process for new projects Procure materials and subcontract packages Work closely with design teams and contribute to design development Obtain, analyse, and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations Provide commercial support across the wider business Manage day-to-day commercial and subcontract administration You will ideally have: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within carpentry/joinery or fit-out A proactive mindset with the ambition to grow into a confident, self-sufficient QS Strong analytical and numerical skills Excellent communication and negotiation abilities A forward-thinking approach and willingness to learn The confidence to work independently while collaborating effectively with others Experience Required Minimum 4 years surveying experience (essential) Working Arrangements & Benefits Hybrid role Office located in Woking, Surrey, with on-site parking provided Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am 5:00pm Competitive salary based on experience Opportunity to work on exciting residential projects within a growing company Thank you for taking the time to apply to OPR Resourcing Specialists.
