Up to £60,000 depending on experience Carriera is working with an established property consultancy who are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their London team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced consultancy Quantity Surveyor who is ready to take greater ownership of projects, strengthen their client relationships and continue progressing towards the next stage of their career. You will be responsible for the day to day delivery of a varied portfolio of projects across the built environment, working with established clients and project teams from early feasibility through to final account. The role offers a strong mix of pre and post contract responsibilities and would suit someone who is comfortable managing their own projects, leading client meetings and providing clear commercial advice throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities Manage the day to day delivery of projects and act as the key point of contact for clients. Lead client and project meetings, working alongside wider consultant and design teams. Prepare feasibility estimates, cost plans and pre tender estimates across the relevant RIBA stages. Provide advice on construction costs, materials and design decisions to ensure projects remain within budget. Undertake measurement and prepare detailed cost information. Advise clients on procurement strategy, contracts, risk management and value engineering. Prepare and issue tender documentation. Evaluate tender returns and prepare recommendations for clients. Prepare contract documentation. Manage project costs throughout the construction stage. Agree monthly valuations and prepare regular cost reports. Assess and agree variations. Negotiate and agree final accounts. Develop strong relationships with clients, consultants and contractors. Support the development of new client relationships and opportunities. Requirements Previous Quantity Surveying experience gained within a consultancy environment. RICS accredited Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent. MRICS qualified or actively working towards Chartership. Experience using the JCT suite of contracts. Strong pre and post contract Quantity Surveying experience. Experience of procurement, tendering, valuations, variations and cost reporting. Confident leading meetings and communicating directly with clients and project teams. Strong commercial awareness with good negotiation and organisational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Experience using Quantity Surveying software such as CostX or Bluebeam would be beneficial. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Full UK driving licence. Proactive and comfortable taking responsibility for your own projects and workload. Apply Salary up to £60,000 depending on experience. Opportunity to manage your own portfolio of projects.
