is seeking a
Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor
to join its team. The role will be based from the companys
Maidenhead office , with occasional site visits across
London and Hertfordshire . The business operates a proven end-to-end approach, managing projects from initial concept and pre-construction through to completion. The Role We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded
QS/SQS
to join the team and take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from pre-contract through to final account. Working closely with project managers, site teams, contractors and external consultants, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered within budget, commercial risks are identified and controlled, and accurate financial information is maintained throughout the project lifecycle. The Package Salary: £55,000
£85,000 per annum, DOE Holiday: 25 days annual leave + bank holiday Pension: Company pension scheme

Key Responsibilities Manage the commercial and financial aspects of projects from pre-contract through to final account. Prepare, review and manage
Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
and quantity measurements. Assist with cost planning, estimating and the preparation of project budgets. Support tender preparation, evaluation and contractor negotiations. Monitor project costs against agreed budgets and identify commercial risks. Produce and maintain accurate
cost reports, forecasts and cash flow information . Manage variations, change control and associated financial implications. Review subcontractor applications, valuations and payments. Assess the financial impact of design changes, specification changes and construction decisions. Work closely with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, consultants and other stakeholders. Maintain accurate commercial records throughout the project lifecycle. Assist with the preparation and agreement of final accounts. Identify opportunities to improve project profitability and commercial performance. Use project data and lessons learned to contribute to continuous improvement across future developments. About You Experience working as a QS/SQS Strong experience in cost control, cost management and cost planning. Good knowledge of quantity measurement, BOQs and estimating. Experience producing and managing cost reports and cash flow forecasts. Strong numerical and analytical ability, with excellent attention to detail. Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data. The ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical information. The ability to work effectively with site teams, project managers, subcontractors and external consultants.
