Are you an experienced R&D Tax Consultant looking to join one of the UK's leading innovation funding consultancies Our client is a well-established, market-leading consultancy specialising in helping innovative businesses access R&D Tax Relief and other innovation incentives. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced R&D Tax Manager to manage a portfolio of clients while providing technical expertise on complex software claims. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical background who enjoys working closely with innovative businesses and wants genuine career progression within a collaborative, high-performing team. The Role - R&D Tax Manager You'll work with software and technology businesses across a diverse range of industries, helping identify qualifying R&D activities and preparing high-quality R&D Tax Credit claims. Managing your own portfolio of clients, you'll build trusted relationships with key stakeholders while ensuring every claim is technically robust and commercially valuable. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of software-focused R&D Tax clients Conduct technical consultations with clients to understand qualifying projects Prepare and review robust technical reports supporting claims Work alongside tax specialists throughout the claims process Build long-term relationships with clients and become their trusted advisor Keep up to date with changes to UK R&D Tax legislation and HMRC guidance Manage a small team Support junior team members where appropriate Identify opportunities to introduce wider innovation funding services About You We're keen to speak with individuals who have: 3+ experience within R&D Tax Strong understanding of methodologies and technologies related to R&D Tax A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline (desirable) Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills The ability to analyse complex technical projects and explain them clearly A commercial mindset with strong client relationship skills Applicants with slightly less experience are also encouraged to apply.
