Overview:


Unify are delighted to be recruiting for an Internal Recruiter to join a leading provider of Plant Hire, Transport and Haulage service throughout the UK who are currently undergoing remarkable growth whilst supporting the UK’s Construction sector.


You will be responsible for managing and leading the recruitment operations across Scotland, proactively recruiting and assigning skilled Plant Operators to major projects and ensuring the right talent is matched to project requirements.

What do I need?



  • Previous recruitment experience, ideally within a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge and understanding of Plant Operator recruitment.

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel.

  • Knowledge or experience using CRM systems would be desirable.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with internal teams, clients and external personnel.

  • The ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

  • Extremely high attention to detail with a passion for getting things right first time.

  • Be an independent self-starter with strong decision-making skills.

  • A results-driven team player who is motivated by achieving targets and delivering results.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.


Responsibilities:



  • Manage the end-to-end supply of operators across major projects within the region.

  • Build strong working relationships with project and site teams, clients and external personnel, ensuring recruitment requirements are clearly understood and effectively managed.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the company’s fleet and operational requirements.

  • Handle confidential information in line with GDPR and company policies.

  • Manage inbound and outbound calls with external site personnel.

  • Work closely with the Scotland Director, National Operated Plant Manager and site management teams to understand current and future workforce requirements and align recruitment plans with project demands.

  • Manage customer expectations and provide a high level of service via telephone and email.

  • Ensure clear and consistent communication across all stakeholders, resolving issues promptly to support smooth operations.

  • Identify and proactively resolve operational challenges.

  • Monitor daily activity and team performance, providing feedback on successes and areas for improvement.

  • Drive improvements in team engagement, productivity and retention.
