We are seeking a Regional Team Leader / Lead Installer to join our growing team and support projects across Bedford, Northampton, Cambridge, Milton Keynes, London and surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional who enjoys practical, hands-on site work and wants to develop specialist skills within the growing field of building airtightness and performance.
About the Regional Construction Team Leader Role
This is a site-based position where you'll take responsibility for delivering specialist airtightness installations across a variety of construction projects.
You'll lead projects from arrival on site through to completion, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. While most projects are based within the region, you must be willing to stay away when required, typically up to three nights per week.
This role would particularly suit someone with strong construction experience, especially an air tester looking to move into a more practical and hands-on building performance role.
As our Regional Construction Team Leader you will:

Manage site workflow, productivity, safety and quality standards
Set up, operate and maintain specialist installation equipment
Prepare buildings for installation, including manual sealing and site preparation
Complete de-prep, pack-down and site clean-up activities
Communicate effectively with site managers, clients and internal teams
Produce clear site reports, including photos, testing results and observations
Care for company vehicles, tools, materials and equipment
Carry out routine equipment checks and report maintenance requirements
Support and supervise additional installers or labour where required

Comfortable working away from home up to 3 nights per week when required
Strong practical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills

High standards of workmanship, housekeeping and professionalism
Desirable
Airtightness testing experience
Experience using air testing or diagnostic equipment
Previous supervisory or team-leading experience
Knowledge of building envelopes, airtightness layers or ventilation systems
Background in carpentry, drylining, retrofit, testing or specialist installation work
Successful candidates will complete a structured 4-week training programme designed to develop the skills and knowledge needed to work independently and eventually lead a two-person installation team.
The programme includes:
Hands-on training alongside experienced team leaders
Specialist equipment setup and operation
Airtightness and building performance principles
Installation techniques across different project types
Competency sign-offs at the end of each training stage
Supporting documentation and guidance materials
Training may involve overnight stays and working with different teams to ensure broad project exposure and experience. xkybehq
