Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home 📍 Wallasey 💰 £53,000 – £62,000 per annum ⏰ Full-time | 40 hours per week We are currently recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a brand-new 2-bed children’s residential home supporting young people aged 7–17 with emotional and behavioural needs. This is a unique opportunity to take full ownership of a service from the outset, building a stable team and delivering high-quality, therapeutic care. About the Role As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the home, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment where young people can thrive. You will play a key role in: * Setting up and developing the home * Building and leading a high-performing staff team * Embedding a child-centred, trauma-informed approach * Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards * Driving positive outcomes for young people Registered Managers are responsible for maintaining standards, safeguarding, and ensuring quality care in line with regulations and best practice Key Responsibilities * Manage the day-to-day operations of the home * Lead, supervise, and develop staff * Ensure all care plans, risk assessments, and documentation are maintained * Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing * Liaise with local authorities, families, and external professionals * Maintain full regulatory compliance Requirements * Experience working within children’s residential care * Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager * Strong knowledge of Ofsted and safeguarding frameworks * Leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate teams * Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards) * Full UK driving licence (preferred) What’s on Offer * Competitive salary of £53,000 – £62,000 * 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays) * Ongoing training and development * Support from central teams (compliance, recruitment, training) * Opportunity to build and shape a service from day one 👉 If you’re looking for a role where you can genuinely make an impact and lead a service the right way, apply today
