Children’s Home Registered Manager – Specialist Mental Health Location: Newmarket Salary: £50,000–£65,000 DOE + £10,000 bonus + £5,000 welcome bonus Hours: Full Time, Permanent (40 hours) Diamond Search Recruitment are representing a leading children’s residential care provider seeking an experienced Registered Manager to run a specialist children’s home supporting young people aged 12–18 with complex mental health needs and high‑risk behaviours. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader with experience in children’s residential care, Ofsted compliance, and trauma‑informed practice to step into a high‑impact role within a multi‑disciplinary setting. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage a specialist home, ensuring high‑quality, safe care * Drive Ofsted compliance with a target of achieving “Good” or above * Develop personalised care plans and oversee therapeutic, emotional, and educational support * Recruit, train, and develop a stable, high‑performing staff team * Maintain strong safeguarding culture and respond to incidents effectively * Work collaboratively with clinicians, teachers, parents, and Local Authorities * Manage budgets and ensure commercial performance of the home What’s on Offer * Salary up to £65,000 * £5,000 welcome bonus * Up to £10,000 annual bonus * Leadership development through an in‑house academy * Pension, wellbeing support, EAP, retail discounts, long‑service awards Requirements * Minimum 2 years’ experience in children’s residential care * At least 1 year in a supervisory/management role * Level 3 Residential Childcare (essential) * Level 5 Leadership & Management (preferred or willingness to enrol) * Strong knowledge of Quality Standards, SCCIF & safeguarding * Experience supporting young people with emotional/behavioural or mental health needs * Full UK driving licence Apply Today If you’re an experienced Registered Manager—or a strong Deputy ready for the next step—Diamond Search Recruitment would love to hear from you.
