Registered Manager – Children's Home Romford, East London | Full-Time | Permanent | 40 Hours Per Week We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to join our Ofsted-registered children's home in Romford, East London. Providing specialist therapeutic care for up to four children aged 8–17 years, this is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Registered Manager to make a lasting difference to the lives of children and young people who have experienced complex trauma and abuse. We would also consider an experienced Deputy Manager looking to progress into a Registered Manager position. Highly competitive salary – up to £60,000 + annual bonus (negotiable). What We Require * A minimum of 2 years' experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children. * At least 1 year's experience supervising and managing staff. * NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce. * Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England), or working towards it. * A "Good" or "Outstanding" grade within your recent Ofsted inspections. * A good understanding of Therapeutic Practices and PACE. * The ability to lead effectively as a Registered Manager, ensuring the highest standards of care and regulatory compliance. Main Duties and Responsibilities * Provide care for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, ensuring the home operates in compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015. * Implement and work in accordance with all aspects of the Statement of Purpose within the Children's Home. * As the Registered Manager, oversee the daily operations of the home while advocating for children and young people, enabling them to thrive and achieve the best possible outcomes. * Demonstrate a thorough understanding of safeguarding procedures, Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards, implementing these effectively in day-to-day practice. * Work in line with the Ofsted Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF). * Develop, supervise and support the staff team, delegating responsibilities appropriately. * Participate in an on-call system. * Work alongside the Responsible Individual, commissioned psychologists and therapists to develop and embed the organisation's therapeutically informed training programme. * Lead by example as a Registered Manager, promoting a positive culture, continuous improvement and outstanding outcomes for children.
