Repair Operations Manager Location: Cambridge (Onsite) Salary: £50,000–£65,000 Type: Full-time, Permanent My client, a leading communications technology business, is looking for a Repair Operations Manager to lead its repair service operations. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end performance of the repair centre, driving operational excellence, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service across a fast-paced engineering environment. Key Responsibilities * Lead the day-to-day operation of the repair centre and manage service delivery against KPIs and SLAs * Drive capacity planning, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives * Manage budgets, resources, and inventory to optimise performance * Oversee technical repair capability and maintain high engineering standards * Work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Customer Support teams * Develop and mentor the repair operations team, driving performance and accountability * Ensure compliance with ISO9001, Health & Safety, and security requirements * Support commercial activities, including tenders, pricing, and service proposals Requirements * Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience * Proven experience managing repair, service, or production operations within an engineering environment * Strong leadership skills with experience managing KPIs, budgets, and operational performance * Experience driving Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives * Excellent stakeholder management and customer-facing experience * Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills * Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC) What’s on Offer * £50k–£65k salary * Onsite role in Cambridge * Opportunity to lead a high-performing engineering operations team * Work on innovative communications technology used worldwide * Collaborative environment with excellent career development opportunities
