Resident Forklift Engineer - Llanelli

Job title: Resident forklift engineer Location: Llanelli Basic Salary: £30,000 - £34,0000 OTE: £38,820 - £44,380 Daily onsite payment (£18-£22 per day) 15% shift allowance 3 week shift rotation Van & Fuel card provided (personal use within reason)  Your responsibilities will include: Service and maintain a wide range of material handling, access equipment and powered access equipment. Carry out Thorough Examinations in line with relevant requirements. Identify parts required for repairs and liaise with the Parts Department to arrange them. Carry out fault diagnosis and determine the most appropriate repair or corrective action. Manage and prioritise your own workload and allocated jobs. Arrange suitable appointments with customers to minimise equipment downtime. Maintain appropriate stock levels on your service vehicle to support emergency repairs. Complete all work safely and in accordance with company method statements and risk assessments. Maintain accurate records of work completed and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues. What you’ll need: Experience as a Forklift engineer / plant fitter / powered access engineer  preffered Proven experience of diesel engines Strong experience with electrics, hydraulics and diagnostic skills Ability to work independently and manage workload A professional, reliable and customer-focused attitude Cap Licence & Ipaf preffered (if you don’t have this, they will train you up!) Full UK driving licenceHOURS:  Week 1- Monday-Friday 06:00–14:30  Week 2 – Monday-Wednesday 07:00–16:30 Saturday&Sunday 07:00–13:00 Week 3 – Monday-Friday 14:30–23:00
