Position: Residential Therapeutic Practitioner (Senior / Key Worker level) Location: Edgware, Greater London (in person) Contract: Full-time, permanent Shift pattern: 2 days on / 4 days off, including 2 sleep-ins. Weekends and bank holidays required. Salary: £16.00
£17.50 per hour + £60 per sleep-in Reports to: Deputy Manager / Registered Manager About the role - Seeking an experienced and passionate Residential Therapeutic Practitioner to join our therapeutic SEMH provision in Edgware. You will provide direct emotional and therapeutic support to vulnerable young people who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences, working as part of a dedicated team to create a secure, nurturing and inclusive home environment. Key responsibilities
Provide direct therapeutic and relational support to young people, addressing their developmental and emotional needs
Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, promoting positive outcomes and progress toward educational and personal goals
Maintain high-quality records, daily notes, incident reports and risk assessments
Champion safeguarding and manage challenging behaviours effectively and therapeutically
Support young people with daily living skills, education, health appointments and community access
Work collaboratively with colleagues, the clinical team, social workers and other professionals
Act as a positive role model and contribute to a stable, consistent home environment Essential requirements (non-negotiable)
Full UK driving licence (clean)
this is mandatory
Minimum 2 years experience in childrens residential homes
Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (NVQ/QCF or equivalent)
required
Experience supporting young people with SEMH needs and/or complex trauma
Ability and willingness to work the 2-on / 4-off pattern including sleep-ins, weekends and bank holidays
Right to work in the UK
Ability to reliably commute to / relocate for Edgware Desirable
Key worker experience
Therapeutic, trauma-informed or behaviour-support training
Previous experience in a therapeutic childrens home What we offer
