Roadside Technician (Nights) Location: Milton Keynes and the broader surrounding areas Pay / salary: Base: £42,920 plus overtime (£26 per hour) and bonus enabling earnings in excess of £65,000 PA Job type: Permanent / Full time role Shift and schedule for the Roadside Technician role 40 hours per week between 6pm and 6pm, Monday to Sunday. Shifts known 4 months in advance. Flexi overtime at x1.5. All hours start and stop from home, as soon as you start the van. Job Responsibilities for the Roadside Technician role • Attend roadside breakdowns and assess vehicle faults quickly and accurately. • Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs at the roadside, including battery replacements, wheel changes, and minor engine fixes. • Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repair options. • Provide temporary solutions when full repair isn’t possible, ensuring member mobility. • Advise members clearly on next steps, including recovery if needed. • Work safely and efficiently in varied environments and conditions. What you’ll need to a be considered for the Roadside Technician role • Must have a minimum of Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair or ideally Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent) • Must have a minimum 2-year post-qualification hands on experience with vehicles.
