Our client, a leading organisation in the rail sector, is currently seeking a Safety Manager to join their team for a contract position. Key Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures in accordance with rail industry standards
• Conducting regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards
• Providing safety training and education to staff and contractors
• Investigating incidents and near–misses to determine root causes and implementing corrective actions
• Maintaining up–to–date knowledge of safety regulations and best practices within the rail industry
• Collaborating with project managers and site supervisors to ensure safety measures are integrated into all operations
• Preparing detailed safety reports and documentation
• Promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement

Job Requirements

• Solid experience in safety management, particularly within the rail sector
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements in rail
• Proven ability to conduct comprehensive safety audits and risk assessments
• In–depth knowledge of incident investigation and root cause analysis
• Excellent communication and training skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
