Job summaryWe are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated
Salaried GP to join our supportive team for up to six sessions per week.The successful candidate will provide
high-quality, holistic primary care, managing a varied clinical workload while
working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team.We are welcome candidates with an interest in
Women's Health, although this is desirable rather than essential.Main duties of the jobProvide high-quality, patient-centred general medical services to the practice populationUndertake a mix of face-to-face and telephone consultationsAssess, diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditionsPrescribe safely and effectively in line with current guidelines and best practiceManage and monitor long-term conditionsReview and action pathology results, clinical correspondence, and other patient-related documentationParticipate in duty doctor rota as requiredWork collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team, including nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionalsMaintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records in line with practice and GMC standardsSupport safeguarding responsibilities for both children and vulnerable adultsContribute to quality improvement, audits, and practice development initiativesEngage in continued professional development and appraisal processesAttendance and engagement in clinical meetingsAbout usWoodland Avenue Practice is a
well-established, friendly and forward-thinking GP practice serving
approximately 13,500 patients in Luton. We are a five-partner practice with a
strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.As an accredited GP Training Practice, we
currently support 45 GP trainees, providing an excellent learning environment
with a culture of collaboration, education and continuous professional
development.We are proud to play an active role within Medics
Primary Care Network (PCN), working closely with PCN practices and
multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative services and improve patient
care.Our experienced clinical team includes GPs,
Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Clinical Pharmacists, First Contact
Physiotherapists, Social Prescribers and Care Coordinators.We pride ourselves on being a supportive,
progressive practice where clinicians are encouraged to develop their interests
