Job summary

A superb opportunity has arisen for a 4 to 6 session Salaried GP at The Dove Valley Practice, Barnsley. This is initially a fixed term contract for 12 months with the possibility of working during term time only.

Main duties of the job

Salaried GP post

• PMS list: approximately 10450 patients.
• 7 Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, 2 Physician Associates and 1 Advanced Clinical Practitioner, as well as HCA/Nursing, reception and admin support.
• We have a main surgery and a nearby branch surgery within the local area.
• We are committed to high standards of clinical care, providing additional services and success in QOF achievement.
• We have Nurse and PA-led chronic disease clinics and minor illness clinics.
• We are a training practice.
• We provide a comprehensive practice educational program.

We are an innovative, mutually supportive, and progressive partnership looking to recruit a Salaried GP to provide additional sessions over the next year with the possibility of the contract to being extended. The contract will be BMA-compliant and include a detailed job plan.

Serving our local population of approximately 104050 registered patients with a PMS contract GP practice service, we provide several enhanced services as well as the usual GP practice services.

Qualifications

Essential

• Full UK GMC registration and licence to Practice
• Completion of VTS or equivalent
• Eligible to work in UK
• MBChB/MBBS
• Meets DBS check requirements
• Hold full UK driving licence and vehicle access
• On Performers list
• Up to date medical indemnity

• MRCGP
