Job summary

Southend Medical Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Salaried General Practitioner to join our well-established, forward-thinking practice on a fixed-term basis through GP Scheme Funding.

This is an excellent opportunity for a GP looking to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team while delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to our diverse population. Main duties of the job

  • Provide high-quality general medical services to registered patients.
  • Undertake routine surgeries, telephone consultations and home visits as appropriate.
  • Participate in clinical decision-making and management of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to safeguarding, quality improvement and clinical governance activities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records.
  • Support continuity of care and patient-centred service delivery.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
  • Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate)
  • Be on the NHSE medical performers list

Experience

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to providing safe, effective and compassionate patient care
  • Experience working in primary care within the NHS
