Job summary

We are looking for an additional qualified GP to work with us on a full or part time basis.

You will be experienced in delivering high quality patient care, managing acute and routine presentations, and be able to support the practice clinical team as needed.

You will be experienced in working independently, adapting quickly to different systems, situations and environments, ensuring continuity of care for patients.

Main duties of the job

  • Providing high quality clinical care during routine and urgent patient appointments.
  • Assessment, diagnosis, and management a wide range of primary care presentations.
  • Working independently while also integrating smoothly with the existing practice team.
  • Completion of essential clinical documentation, clearly and promptly.
  • Supporting on the day demand, such as urgent appointments or home visits.
  • Using the practice clinical systems effectively (SystmOne).
  • Ensuring patient safety by following appropriate protocols, safeguarding policies, and GMC standards.
  • Contributing to effective workload management, adapting to the practices processes and timeframes.
  • Communicating professionally with patients, colleagues, and wider multidisciplinary teams.

We are a large, well established GP Practice on the Lincolnshire coast, serving a growing population of over 20,000 patients across our local community.

As a dispensing practice, we provide convenient, integrated care for our rural and semirural patients, supported by an experienced inhouse dispensary team.

As an accredited training practice, we are committed to developing the next generation of GPs. Our clinicians regularly support GP registrars, creating a dynamic environment where education, teamwork, and continuous improvement are at the heart of what we do.

Job responsibilities

Duties will include:

  • Providing high quality clinical care during routine and urgent patient appointments.
  • Assessing, diagnosing, and managing a wide range of primary care presentations.
  • Working independently, while also integrating smoothly with the existing practice team.
  • Completing essential clinical documentation clearly and promptly. Such as consultation notes, referrals, prescriptions, etc.
  • Supporting on the day demand, such as urgent/acute appointments or home visits if required.
  • Using practice clinical systems effectively.
  • Ensuring patient safety, by following protocols, safeguarding policies, and GMC standards.
  • Providing continuity of care where possible, even in a shortterm placement.
  • Contributing to effective workload management, adapting to the practices processes and timeframes.
  • Communicating professionally with patients, colleagues, and wider multidisciplinary teams.
