Main duties of the job

Our appointments are a minimum 15 min and we do a mixture of telephone, onsite and online consultations.

In general, undertaking all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working in primary care;

Duty rota, QOF and targets work, shared by all doctors on a pro-rata basis.

Medical reports and admin, supported by the wider team.

Attendance at MDT, Doctor and Practice meetings is part of regular duties.

About us

Ash Surgery is a semi-rural practice at the heart of Ash Village, which is nestled among the farms and apple orchards in the East Kent countryside. We are close to the beautiful East Kent coast boasting numerous Blue Flag beaches and the vibrant university city of Canterbury.

The Village of Ash has both private and state primary schools with good access to excellent both private and state secondary schools nearby.

Ash Surgery consists of a clinical team of 4 doctors, ANP, PP, 2 nurses 2 HCAs and a pharmacy technician. As part of a wider NHS, within the surgery, we provide physio, midwife, health advisor, smoking cessation advisor and care co-ordinator services. We have access to a dedicated home visiting team. Our multi skilled and supportive admin team assists the clinicians.

Our building is free hold purpose built and owned by partnership.

Job responsibilities

We are looking for a salaried GP with the view to partnership and willparticipate in the main duties associated with a GP in primary care.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Completed GP training
  • Full GMC registration, MBChB or equivalent.
  • UK Registration
  • Applicants must have current UK professional registration.

Desirable

  • Applicants must have current UK professional registration.

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working in primary care.
  • Experience of working in GP Practice

Desirable

  • One long-term condition special interest.
