Job Title: SC Cleared Groundworkers Location: Chester We are seeking highly skilled and security-cleared (SC) Ground Workers to join our specialized operations team for a new build project near Chester. We will be requiring Ground workers until Spring next year working a minimum of 45hrs a week. We are looking for Ground workers who are able to work weekends as they will be regularly available through the project. This role involves performing essential ground maintenance, construction, and site preparation tasks within secure environments that require SC (Security Check) clearance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, precision, and efficiency, supporting critical infrastructure projects. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to vital national or organizational security initiatives while working in a dynamic and professional environment. Responsibilities • Conduct groundworks including excavation, trenching, and site levelling in accordance with project specifications and safety standards. • Operate and maintain construction tools and machinery safely and efficiently. • Assist with the installation of infrastructure components such as fencing, drainage systems, and foundations. • Follow detailed safety protocols and always ensure compliance with security clearance requirements. • Collaborate with site supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks effectively. • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and site conditions. • Support site cleanup and ensure the secure storage of tools, equipment, and materials. • Report any safety hazards or security concerns immediately to supervisory personnel. Skills • Valid SC (Security Check) clearance with current certification is essential. • CSCS trade card is essential • Proven experience in groundworks or construction-related roles within secure environments. • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites. • Proficiency in operating basic construction machinery and hand tools. • Excellent attention to detail and adherence to procedural instructions. • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. • Good communication skills for reporting issues clearly and professionally.
