We are currently seeking an experienced
School Business Manager
to join an innovative provider of education and care for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities that opened in September 2025.
The provision supports young people aged 1116 with social communication needs, emotional regulation difficulties and sensory processing differences, typically associated with Autism. Students access a broad, engaging curriculum tailored to their needs, interests and ambitions.
With small classes, high levels of support and a dedicated multi-disciplinary team, they ensure every student has every opportunity to achieve.
The role Joining a school that was newly opened in September 2005, the School Business Manager is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and will ensure the efficient, safe and cost-effective operation of all support departments, including: Finance Administration HR Facilities & Site Maintenance Health & Safety Housekeeping & Catering You will play a crucial role in keeping the school compliant, financially secure and focused on delivering excellent outcomes for our young people.
This role requires a high degree of autonomy, responsibility and accountability for delegated budgets, resources and operational areas. You will also lead on creating, implementing and evaluating development plans to drive ongoing improvements.
Experience:
Strong knowledge of regulations and standards relevant to education Understanding of inspection frameworks used by regulatory bodies Knowledge of safeguarding and the legislative requirements of working with children Experience managing EBITDA, financial systems and budget preparation Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong HR, recruitment and employee relations experience The ability to build positive relationships with staff, young people, families and external agencies Strong leadership and team management skills Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities Previous School Business Manager experience (preferred) A flexible, solution-focused and approachable attitude A willingness to learn about Autism and a variety of special educational needs
