School Cook – Dartington Location: Dartington, Devon Hours: 20 hours per week - Times to be agreed Start Date: September Contract: Permanent The Supply Register is recruiting on behalf of a specialist school for an experienced School Cook to join their friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys preparing healthy, nutritious meals and wants to make a positive difference within a school environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook nutritious, balanced meals for pupils and staff. Plan and deliver meals efficiently within agreed service times. Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked kitchen. Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies where required. Ensure all food is prepared and served in accordance with Food Hygiene, Health & Safety and COSHH regulations. Carry out daily cleaning duties and maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen. Work closely with colleagues to provide an efficient catering service. Promote a positive dining experience for pupils. Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the School Catering Manager. Requirements Previous experience as a Cook, ideally within a school, care, healthcare or commercial catering environment. Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
