School HR Administrator Location: Ilford, East London  Pay Rate: £16 - 20 per hour Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time (Term-Time Only considered) Start Date: ASAP Join a Busy and Supportive School Team Are you an experienced school administrator with a background in HR? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a strong understanding of school compliance, safeguarding, and recruitment processes? We are seeking a dedicated School HR Administrator to join a welcoming school in Ilford. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented professional with previous school experience to play a key role in supporting the day-to-day HR operations of the school. Key Responsibilities Managing the administration of recruitment campaigns, including advert postings, interview coordination, and candidate communication Processing pre-employment checks, including Enhanced DBS checks, references, and Right to Work documentation Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records Supporting staff onboarding and induction processes Monitoring staff absence records and maintaining HR databases Preparing HR letters, contracts, and other employment-related documentation Assisting with payroll administration and staff data management Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, GDPR, and employment legislation Acting as a first point of contact for HR-related queries from staff and visitorsEssential Requirements Previous experience working within a school setting Experience in HR, recruitment, or school administration Knowledge of safer recruitment and safeguarding procedures Excellent organisational and administrative skills Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressureDesirable Skills Experience using school management systems such as SIMS, Arbor, or Bromcom Understanding of education-sector HR practices Knowledge of employment legislation and HR compliance CIPD qualification or equivalent HR trainingWhat We Offer Competitive hourly rate of £16 - 20 per hour Supportive and friendly school environment Opportunity to join a dedicated and professional team Ongoing training and development opportunities A varied and rewarding role within the education sectorApply Today If you have previous school experience and are looking for your next opportunity within school HR and administration, we'd love to hear from you
