At OFG we believe increating a better work life balance Job Title: SEN Teacher Location: Riseley Green School, Riseley, Reading, Berkshire RG7 1QF Hours: 37.5 per week | Monday to Friday | 8.30am-4.30pm Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata) Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only Due to our continued growth, Riseley Green School is looking for a passionate and inspiring SEN Teacher to join our founding team. As one of our founding teachers, you'll help shape the culture, curriculum and future of a brand-new specialist school, creating an environment where children with additional needs feel safe, understood and empowered to achieve more than they ever thought possible. Deliver engaging, creative and personalised lessons that inspire pupils to achieve their full potential. Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of Special Educational Needs, ensuring every child can access learning and experience success. Create a calm, nurturing and inclusive classroom where pupils feel safe, valued and motivated to learn. Promote pupils' confidence, independence, communication and emotional wellbeing through positive, relationship-based practice. Work alongside the Headteacher and founding team to help shape the curriculum, routines and culture of a brand-new specialist school. Monitor, assess and celebrate pupil progress, using assessment to inform future learning and maximise outcomes. Collaborate with Teaching Assistants, therapists, families and external professionals to provide consistent, holistic support. Champion safeguarding and promote the welfare of every pupil, maintaining the highest standards of professional practice. Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Is passionate about helping children and young people with Special Educational Needs achieve their full potential. Can deliver creative, engaging and highly personalised learning experiences. Builds positive, trusting relationships and creates an environment where every pupil feels valued and able to succeed. Enjoys working collaboratively and is excited by the opportunity to help establish and shape a brand-new specialist school. Riseley Green School is an independent specialist school near Reading, Berkshire, for autistic young people aged 416, with a capacity of 60 pupils. We provide a nurturing, structured environment tailored to each childs needs, fostering academic, social, and emotional growth. Small classes, high staff-to-pupil ratios, and personalised programmes ensure every pupil can thrive and reach their full potential. Our dedicated team works closely with families to support wellbeing, independence, and the development of essential life skills.
