The OpportunityWe are seeking a hands-on experienced Cyber Security & Network Operations Lead to take ownership of a critical technical function and drive significant improvements across people, processes and technology.This is a rare opportunity for an experienced technical leader to inherit a small team, shape its future direction and raise operational maturity across a complex environment. You'll be trusted to lead from the front, combining strategic thinking with a willingness to roll up your sleeves when required.The business operates a hybrid working model where you will be expected to be in the office 3 days a week, so you should reside within a commutable distance of Newcastle.The RoleYou will lead a team responsible for cyber security operations and network services, ensuring the function is resilient, responsive and fit for the future.Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing a small team of technical specialists
• Improving operational maturity, governance and service standards
• Driving incident response readiness and security best practice
• Building clear processes, documentation and operating procedures
• Reducing key-person dependencies and increasing team capability
