This is a long-term opportunity starting in September, supporting secondary-aged pupils aged 1119 with Autism and complex communication needs, in a school that has built its entire culture around helping young people grow, communicate and thrive. What You'll Be Doing Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with Autism and complex learning needs Supporting the development of communication, independence and life skills across the curriculum Writing and reviewing EHCPs and personalised learning plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team Creating a structured, nurturing classroom environment where pupils feel safe and motivated Working alongside therapists, support staff and families to ensure the best outcomes for every pupil What We're Looking For QTS and experience teaching in a special or SEN school setting Confidence working with pupils with Autism and complex communication needs at secondary level A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential and grow in independence Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach A collaborative team player who reflects the school's values of enjoyment, achievement and wellbeing Why Horizon Teachers We are currently having our busiest year & placing more teachers & support staff than ever before.
