A lovely primary school in Petersfield is looking for an experienced and confident SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September, supporting a child in Year 1 who presents with challenging behaviour and requires consistent, nurturing support.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated TA who enjoys building positive relationships with children and is passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
The role:
Full-time, Monday–Friday, from September
Supporting a Year 1 child on a 1:1 basis
Providing calm, consistent support with behaviour and emotional regulation
Helping the child to engage positively with learning and classroom routines
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
Supporting the child’s social, emotional and academic development
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience working with children with SEN and challenging behaviour
A calm, patient and resilient approach
Excellent behaviour-management skills
The ability to build strong, trusting relationships
A nurturing yet consistent approach
Experience within a primary school setting is highly desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
