SEN Classroom Support Prospero Teaching is looking to place SEN Classroom Support Staff to work within a fantastic Independent SEN School supporting children and young people aged 5-19 years with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and associated difficulties. Whilst challenging, this work is immensely rewarding, and all staff are supported in their professional development. We are seeking to appoint caring, resilient, and reliable individuals to join an experienced and supportive team. The successful candidate will support pupils with their learning activities, help promote positive behaviour, encourage independence, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. This may involve supporting students both in and outside the classroom, assisting with emotional regulation, and helping pupils to engage positively with their education. CONTRACT DETAILS Location - Shaftesbury Position - SEN Classroom Support Type of work - SEN Classroom Support Contract or position start date - September 2026 Duration / Likely Duration - Long-Term Contract or position end date (if applicable) - Temp-To-Perm Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) - Temp To Perm Full time/part time - Full Time Minimum rate of pay - From £100 per day Hours: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday: 8:30am - 4:00pm, Wednesday: 8:30am - 4:30pm, Friday: 8:30am - 3:30pmEXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent) Previous experience working with children or young people Experience supporting pupils with SEN, SEMH, ASD, or additional needs (desirable) Strong communication and interpersonal skills A patient, caring, and resilient approach Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (mandotory)TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two yearsOTHER: If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up-to-date CV.
