About the Role
As a SEN Tutor, you will provide tailored one-to-one tuition for children with additional needs, creating a supportive environment where they can develop confidence and achieve their goals.
Deliver personalised learning sessions based on each learners individual strengths, needs and objectives
Create and adapt lesson plans that support individual learning requirements and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) where applicable
Support children and young people who may be unable to access a mainstream classroom setting
Build confidence, engagement and independence through a positive and encouraging teaching approach
Work closely with families and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for each learner
Provide regular updates on learner progress and adapt support strategies when required
About You
We are looking for dedicated education professionals who are passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them overcome barriers to learning.
Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia or other learning differences
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning styles and developmental needs
Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with learners and their families
A patient, empathetic and encouraging approach to supporting vulnerable learners
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), previous tutoring experience, or relevant experience within an educational setting is desirable
A genuine commitment to helping children achieve their personal and academic goals
