Senior Aerospace Engineer (R&D)

Job Title: Senior Aerospace Engineer (R&D) Moog Aircraft Group is recruiting for a Senior R&D Engineer to join our Research and Development team in Tewkesbury, UK. Moogs products are commonly used in safety-critical aerospace applications, requiring the highest level of performance, integrity, and reliability. This is an in-depth hands-on role contributing to the satisfactory design, analysis, development, testing, and qualification of complex, flight, and engine control products used on military and commercial aircraft. The successful applicant will be joining a team of Engineers and should therefore be a team player, a good communicator at all levels, and computer literate. From time to time there may be a need for overseas travel. You should be able to demonstrate proven competence, experience, and initiative in the following disciplines as encountered within the Aerospace sector: ~ Mechatronic control systems including Electronic, Electro-mechanical, Electro-hydraulic components and sub-systems ~ Mathematical performance modelling (e.g. Spice, Excel, MathCAD, MatLab/Simulink, FEA) ~3D design and 2D drawing creation ~ Some knowledge of aerospace materials and their properties ~ Awareness of common machining and fabrication processes ~ Development of assembly techniques and associated tooling ~ Compilation of clear and concise analysis and test reports ~ Aerospace configuration control and quality systems ~ Awareness of project management principles. ~ Ability to estimate worktime and overall durations for planned engineering tasks.
