Senior Automation Engineer

An innovative international technology company is expanding its software engineering team and is looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to help build and scale automated testing solutions for complex software platforms. About the Role

You will play a key role in improving automation frameworks, integrating testing into development workflows, and ensuring software excellence throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable automated test solutions for backend services, APIs and user interfaces.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks that support high-quality software delivery.
• Integrate automated testing into modern CI/CD environments.
• Collaborate with software engineers, QA specialists and product teams to define testing strategies.
• Perform manual validation when required and convert test cases into automated suites.
• Investigate, debug and resolve issues affecting automated test execution.
• Improve test coverage, execution speed and overall framework reliability.
• Promote software quality best practices across engineering teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a quality-first development culture.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor engineers on automation methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
• At least 7 years of experience in software test automation.

Required Skills

• Strong experience automating backend, API and UI testing.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following languages:
• Java
• Python
• C#
• Experience working with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or similar.
• Previous experience working within Agile software development environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated software delivery practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience mentoring or coaching other engineers.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with distributed or cloud-native applications.
