Job summary

As a Senior Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing DBA you will be part of a close-knit team of people providing essential management, financial and clinical reports alongside near real time operational data to over 1,000 NWLP colleagues, NWLP 's partners and other NWLP clients.

You will be the first point of contact for the Business Intelligence Team on a weekly rotational basis as a part of this role and will thus be in frequent contact with NWLP service users and colleagues at all levels in addition to the back office nature of the Team

The role will primarily be based at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, with the potential to travel to the partner sites as required. We value relationships and feel that face to face communication is important. However, we care about how you work rather than where you work, so the role is open to remote working meaning you aren't required to be in the office 5 days a week. We'd welcome a conversation with the successful candidate about what remote working looks like for you.

Main duties of the job

  • Manage the BI Team's dedicated SQL Server Data warehouse, hosted on a pair of clustered physical servers, on a day to day basis
  • Monitor timed SSIS and TSQL Server agent tasks and act as needed in the event of issues
  • Act as the first point of contact for all stakeholders and either deal with any requests or pass them to other team members as required
  • Develop ad-hoc and regular reports in response to requests for data
  • Supply the NWLP Finance team and Partners with routine month-end data
  • Maintain key reference datasets with current data
  • Work flexibly as part of a team
