Senior Buyer

Proven experience purchasing electronic components and PCBAs within a manufacturing environment is essential. A leading high voltage electronics manufacturer are currently recruiting for a Senior Buyer on a full-time, permanent basis in Pulborough, West Sussex. Role - Senior Buyer Type - Permanent Location - Pulborough, West Sussex Salary - £45,000 - £50,000 + benefits Key responsibilities for the Senior Buyer will include and will not be limited to: Manage the purchasing process from supplier quote through to order placement and delivery Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost and delivery targets are met Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms and supply agreements Monitor supplier performance and lead regular review meetings Work closely with Planning to ensure materials are available to meet production demand Resolve supply issues, shortages and delivery risks Identify and manage supply chain risks to maintain continuity of supply Keep supplier, pricing and purchasing data up to date within the ERP system Visit suppliers across the UK and Europe when required (typically once per month) Key skills and experience required for Senior Buyer job applicant and will not be limited to: Experience working with ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment Previous experience purchasing electronic components, PCBAs or electro-mechanical products Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness Proven ability to build and manage supplier relationships Experience delivering cost-saving and supplier improvement projects Understanding of supplier quality standards and engineering change processes Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to analyse data and make informed decisions Willingness to travel for supplier meetings across the UK and Europe To apply for this Senior Buyer / Strategic Buyer / Senior Commodity Buyer / Operational Buyer candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK
