In this vital role, you will lead and support children in a residential setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development are prioritized at all times. You will play a key part in creating a nurturing environment where children feel valued, understood, and empowered to reach their full potential. Your energetic approach and commitment will inspire positive change and foster a sense of stability and trust within the home. Duties * Provide high-quality care and support tailored to each child's individual needs, following detailed care plans. * Lead daily activities that promote social skills, independence, and emotional resilience among children. * Maintain clear, open communication with children, colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure cohesive support strategies. * Assist with the development and review of care plans to reflect each child's progress and changing needs. * Support children with their education, health routines, and personal development goals. * Ensure the safety of all children by adhering to safeguarding policies and conducting regular risk assessments. * Drive company vehicles as needed for outings or appointments, ensuring safe transportation at all times. Experience * Proven experience working with children in a residential or childcare setting. * Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it). * Strong understanding of child development principles and effective childcare practices. * Ability to develop and implement care plans collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. * Excellent communication skills to engage confidently with children, families, and professionals. * Valid driving license with experience in safe driving practices preferred. * Competency in using IT systems for record keeping, reporting, and communication purposes.
