Senior CNC Turner Programmer

TEAM LEADER CNC TURNER PROGRAMMER Questech are working with a large machining company that have heavily invested into modern machines. We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner to work for our client who are located close to Rotherham / Barnsley THE DUTIES OF A CNC PROGRAMMER TURNER: * Team Leader * Pro-actively drive performance of the shift to achieve the defined plan, ensuring that your own and the teams’ work is finished on time and to the correct standard. * Identify and utilise best practice methods for work holding, tight tolerance machining and tooling. * Work with Engineering to identify and help deliver manufacturing cost & time savings. * Liaise with the Operations Manager regarding machine breakdowns and repairs. * Conduct quality investigations and reviews to determine true root cause of defects. * Confident of working on medium to high volume batch work and fully skilled to program, set and operate CNC machining centres with FANUC control. ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES & SKILLS: * Minimum 10 years' experience working within a high precision manufacturing background * Excellent communication skills THE HOURS: Days and afters rotating , weekly * Mon-Fri – 6am-2pm (40 hours) * Mon- Thurs – 2pm-12am (40 hours) THE PAY: * You will earn an hourly rate of between £20-£22ph an hour depending on experience. * OT paid @ 1.5x (basic + bonus) * 6% bonus eligible after probation Questech Recruitment is a specialist engineering support within the Mechanical & Engineering industry, our focus is to support many clients within the M&E Sectors.
