A leading insurance organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Compliance Manager to play a key role in providing regulatory guidance, managing compliance risk, and supporting business growth across the UK and Europe.


This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded compliance professional who enjoys partnering with the business, influencing senior stakeholders, and translating complex regulatory requirements into practical solutions. You'll be responsible for advising on a broad range of FCA and insurance regulatory matters, supporting regulatory change initiatives, enhancing governance frameworks, and contributing to a strong culture of compliance across the organisation.


What you'll bring

We're looking for a proactive and confident compliance professional with:

  • Significant experience within a compliance role in the insurance sector, ideally gained within a broker, MGA, insurer, or wider regulated financial services environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK insurance regulation and the FCA Handbook, with the ability to provide clear, pragmatic, and commercially focused advice.
  • Experience interpreting and implementing regulatory requirements across areas such as SM&CR, Conduct Risk, Client Money, licensing, and AR/IAR frameworks.
  • A proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and challenge constructively where required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to assess regulatory risks and identify practical solutions.
  • Experience supporting regulatory change, governance processes, policy development, compliance monitoring, and training initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex regulatory issues clearly to a wide range of audiences.
  • Professional qualifications such as CII, ICA, or similar would be advantageous but are not essential.
