Senior Compliance Reporting Analyst | Oxfordshire | Competitive + Excellent Benefits We are working with a well-established Oxfordshire business to appoint a Senior Compliance Reporting Analyst into its finance team. It is a genuinely different finance role, and one that will suit someone who enjoys precision, structure and getting an answer right first time. The business operates under a strict external reporting framework with defined limits on what it can spend. Staying inside those limits, and being able to prove it, is business critical. That is what this role exists to do. The role You will produce the periodic reporting that demonstrates compliance, prepare the formal submissions that go to the external body overseeing the framework, and own the working papers that sit behind them. When questions come back, you will pull together the analysis that answers them, often at pace and often feeding directly into responses from the CFO. Alongside that you will review transactional data and source documentation to test whether activity falls inside or outside the rules, escalating grey areas rather than guessing. You will document the business's position on the trickier points of interpretation, keep the valuation assessment schedule current, and support the external audit process with everything it needs. You will also work with the business partnering team on the annual plan, making sure forecast activity stays within the framework, and you will keep an eye on changes to the rules and to accounting standards so nothing catches the team out. About you You will be qualified, part-qualified or studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA, and you will have worked somewhere the rules genuinely matter, whether that is a regulated sector, a compliance function or another environment with externally imposed constraints. Beyond that we are looking for someone accurate to a fault, comfortable in large datasets in Excel, and used to standing behind their numbers under scrutiny. Audit exposure is important. So is the ability to run several deadlines at once without dropping any of them. Experience of ERP systems such as D365, SAP or Workday would be useful, as would forecasting experience and a working knowledge of FRS 102 or UK GAAP. None of those are dealbreakers.
