Are you a Senior EC&I Engineer looking to work on complex engineering projects across the full design lifecycle within a highly regulated environment? Do you have experience producing Electrical, Control and Instrumentation designs for nuclear, defence, energy, or other safety-critical industries? The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Electrical, Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer to join a leading engineering organisation delivering innovative projects within highly regulated sectors. This hybrid role offers the chance to contribute to projects from initial concept through to manufacture, installation and commissioning whilst working alongside experienced engineering professionals. We would also welcome applications from these industries Nuclear, Defence, Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Utilities. This role would suit candidates working in these roles Senior EC&I Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Control Systems Engineer, Instrumentation Engineer, Senior Electrical Design Engineer, Lead EC&I Engineer, Electrical & Controls Engineer, Systems Engineer, Electrical Project Engineer, Design Engineer. Your duties and responsibilities will be Develop EC&I engineering solutions and technical deliverables throughout all project phases, from concept development through to commissioning. Produce high-quality electrical, control and instrumentation drawings, calculations and design documentation in accordance with project specifications and engineering standards. Coordinate engineering activities to ensure designs are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate EC&I solutions across wider project activities. Support the planning and execution of engineering packages while maintaining compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.You will have the following qualifications and experience Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or possess an equivalent qualification. A minimum of five years' experience within an engineering or technical specialist position. Previous experience working within the nuclear sector or another highly regulated industry environment. Knowledge of electrical cable sizing and calculation software such as AMTECH ProDesign or comparable packages.
