Your new role: Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their pre-construction team based in Huyton. This role will focus on producing accurate and commercially competitive tenders for residential housing and infrastructure projects, while supporting the continued growth of the business. Responsibilities will include: Preparing detailed estimates and tender submissions for housing and infrastructure projects Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation Producing accurate take-offs and pricing for labour, plant, materials, and subcontract works Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations Managing tenders from enquiry through to submission Identifying commercial risks and value engineering opportunities Liaising with clients, engineers, commercial teams, and operational staff Maintaining estimating records and cost databases Assisting with project handovers following successful tenders Supporting junior members of the estimating team where required What you will need to succeed: Proven experience as a Senior Estimator within house building, groundworks, or civil engineering Strong understanding of residential infrastructure and housing developments Excellent commercial and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines Strong communication and negotiation skills Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel Experience working with housebuilders is desirable Full UK driving licence HNC/HND or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or Civil Engineering preferred What you get in return: Competitive salary of £65,000 - £75,000 depending on experience Full package including car allowance/company car, pension, bonus scheme, and holidays Long-term career progression with a growing contractor Opportunity to work on major residential developments across the North West Supportive and collaborative working environment Stable business with a strong reputation and secured workload Apply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.
