Leading enegy company requires a specilaist commodities lawyer to support the trading team. 1/2 days per week will be required in Swindon during the first 3-6 months to build relationships. Quick access from the train station. Operating as atrusted business partner and a critical adviser to the business , you will help structure complex transactions, navigate new marketsand ifluence strategic decisions from the outset.

The will role affords exposure across a diverse portfolio of commodities, jurisdictionsand high-value commercial projects.

Key responsibilities

Advising on complex commercial and trading matters across global commodities markets.

• Drafting, negotiating and reviewing a wide range of commercial agreements and project documentation.
• Supporting strategic projects from concept through to execution.
• Providing legal advice on new products, jurisdictions and market entry opportunities.
• Undertaking legal due diligence to support expansion into new markets and business areas.
• Working directly with traders, originators and senior stakeholders to solve complex commercial challenges.
• Collaborating with legal colleagues across the wider company to deliver pragmatic, business-focused outcomes.
