An award winning TV production company is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join their team for a 12m FTC, starting in December ’26.

The successful candidate will work across all facets of factual/factual entertainment production, looking after a slate with a high degree of autonomy.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Negotiating and drafting all types of agreements in respect of the development, financing and production of factual and factual entertainment content - with a focus on production financing and talent agreements
• Advising on and undertaking programme clearance and compliance work
• Ensuring all production documentation, templates and processes are up to the required standards
• Advising on distribution queries arising in respect of non-scripted programming relating to the exploitation of rights, holdbacks, clearances and onward reporting
• Collaborating with all departments, including development, distribution, publicity, finance, corporate, and digital & marketing

To be considered you should have significant experience in non-scripted television legal and business affairs, a strong working knowledge of the various broadcaster terms of trade and excellent in-depth understanding of the key commercial elements involved when financing production, and expertise in all areas of programme compliance.
